Just over a mile from the New York State Capitol, Masjid As-Salam in Albany is more than a place of worship; it’s a vibrant hub for over 2,000 Muslim families who call it their spiritual home. Every Friday, more than 1,200 congregants gather here for Jummah prayer, filling our Masjid with unity and devotion. Our seminary programs are at the core of our mission, with hundreds of young students enrolled in the Weekend, Quran Hifz, and Youth Program, all designed to instill strong Islamic values and a lifelong love of learning. Beyond our congregation, Masjid As-Salam serves the broader community through a variety of initiatives, including our Food Pantry, Interfaith Dialogue, and Community Cleanup events, fostering support and goodwill throughout the Capital District. As we continue to grow, our future plans include expanded gym and industrial kitchen facilities to better serve our youth congregation and to welcome even more community members into our shared space.
We welcome everyone to join us, whether for a prayer, a class, or simply to learn more about Islam and our community. Founded in 2000, Masjid As-Salam remains dedicated to building bridges across upstate New York and promoting mutual understanding and respect.
