• Data Collection: We collect personal data, such as your email address and location (if you enable it), to enhance your app experience (e.g., location-based prayer times or nearby mosque searches).
• Purpose of Data Use: We use your data for app functionality and service improvements. Your data is not used for advertising unless explicitly stated.
• Data Sharing: We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except as required by law or to provide essential app functionalities.
• Secure Handling: All data is transmitted securely using encryption technologies (e.g., HTTPS). We implement strict security measures to prevent unauthorized access.
• Data Retention: We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide services or comply with legal obligations. Users can request data deletion at any time.

2. Prominent Disclosure and Consent

How We Obtain Consent:

• In-App Disclosure: We clearly explain what data is being collected and why before accessing any sensitive information.
• User Action Required: You must actively grant permissions or consent before we collect data. For instance:
  • Example Disclosure: "CMZ collects location data to provide accurate prayer times and nearby mosque suggestions." Location data may be accessed when the app is in use, and only with your explicit permission. Background access, if applicable, is used solely to improve features such as accurate prayer timings.
• Easy Opt-Out: Users can modify permissions or withdraw consent anytime through the app settings or device permissions.

Important Note On Registration

When you register on the CMZ platform, you agree that we reserve the right to contact you via email, WhatsApp, or call for essential communications such as service updates, security notifications, account verification, administrative messages, and important changes to the App or this Privacy Policy. You can manage your communication preferences at any time.

We do not sell, rent, or use your personal data for targeted advertising.

3. Account Management

If you create an account with CMZ, you have full control over its management and deletion.

If you would like to request deletion of your data, you may submit a formal request through either of the following channels:

To process the request, we may need to verify your identity and your association with the entity to prevent unauthorized deletion requests.

Once a valid request is received and verified, the requested personal information will be deleted within 14 days from the date of receiving the formal request, unless retention is required for legal, security, or compliance purposes.

Please note that deleting certain information may result in loss of access to the CMZ Admin Portal or related services.

Account Deletion:

• You can delete your account directly from the app or through our website.
• Once deleted, all associated data will be permanently removed, unless required for legal or fraud prevention purposes.
• Temporary account deactivation is not the same as account deletion.
• You have the right to access, update or correct the information you have provided.

4. Third-Party SDKs and Services

We use third-party services only when necessary, ensuring they comply with strict data privacy guidelines. We do not work with providers that sell or misuse user data.

• Integrations (Google Meet & Zoom): The App allows you to join or host virtual events, live taraweeh/lectures, community meetings, educational sessions, or organizational gatherings through Google Meet and Zoom.

  When you use these features, your name, email address, profile information, and meeting-related data may be shared with Google (for Google Meet) or Zoom (for Zoom) to create, join, or manage the video/audio sessions.

  Google and Zoom process this data according to their own privacy policies. We do not control their data practices, including any recording, chat logs, or analytics they may perform. We strongly recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies:

• Firebase Crashlytics: To monitor and improve app stability, Firebase Crashlytics collects non-personal data related to app performance and crashes. This data is used solely for improving app functionality without compromising user privacy.
• Stripe Payment Processing (for masjid/organization donations):
  • Data Collection: To support the collection of donations for masjids/organizations, we use the Stripe platform. Stripe collects and processes all necessary payment information. CMZ does not collect or store any personal payment details.
  • Transaction Processing Fee: A small fee is applied to each transaction by Stripe as a transaction processing fee.
  • Refunds and Disputes: Refunds and disputes are handled in accordance with Stripe's policies and the respective masjid/organization's policies. Any issues related to refunds or payment disputes must be resolved directly with Stripe. Please refer to Stripe's policies for more details.

Third-party services process data solely for the purposes of app functionality and masjid/organization donations, like crash reporting and payment processing (Firebase Crashlytics and Stripe), and no personal data is shared for marketing or any other unauthorized purposes. This data is handled securely and in compliance with privacy laws.

5. Data Safety Section

We provide clear details about the types of data we collect and how it is used:

• We collect personal information like your email, optional access to your camera (for feedback, bug reports, or ticket scanning), and location (if enabled, to offer features like nearby mosque, organization searches and location based prayer times) to improve your app experience.

6. Secure Data Handling

We take robust measures to protect your information or data:

• Encryption: All data is encrypted during transmission and when stored.
• Permissions Management: Permissions are only requested when absolutely necessary for key app features.
• Restricted Access: Only authorized personnel have access to sensitive information.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

The CMZ app and all related intellectual property belong to CMZ and its licensors.

Usage Restrictions:

• The app is licensed for personal use only.
• Users are not allowed to reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the app.
