Considering the sensitivity of this serious need, and depending on Allah Ta’ala along with the Dua and Mashwara from world-renowned scholars, Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal Sahib (student of Hazrat Maulana Yousuf Bennuri rah.) established MADRASAH ISLAMIAH (previously Masjid Noor). In 1989, an old child care building was rented, and later purchased in 1990. It was remodeled in 1991 into a prayer hall accommodating nearly 850 people, including a dedicated sisters’ section with complete arrangements. The facility also includes an administration unit, classrooms, library, bookstore, and cafeteria.
MADRASAH ISLAMIAH takes pride in being the first madrasa in Houston dedicated to Tahfeez-ul-Qur’an al-Kareem (memorization of the Holy Qur’an), having produced more than 100 Huffaz. Many are now pursuing Alim courses or careers in various educational fields, with some serving as imams and religious teachers in Houston.
