Islamic Society of Arlington Texas (ISAT) was established in 1983 by dedicated community members. After initially holding prayers in a rented space near the University of Texas at Arlington, they purchased their current location on S. Center St. In Ramadan 1989, the mosque officially opened, and later expanded to include the Islamic School of Arlington Texas on the same site.
