DSS offers a comprehensive Sunday Islamic school program consisting of three core components. Quran Reading and Memorization focuses on proper recitation, fluency, and effective memorization while familiarizing students with essential vocabulary and the core message of the Quran, using A Student’s First Guide to Juz ‘Amma by Yahya Emerick. Islamic Studies introduces students to the fundamentals of Islam through selected Quranic teachings, Sunnah, authentic ahadeeth, and daily adhkaar and du‘as, supported by the I Love Islam, Learning Islam, and Living Islam series. Arabic Studies develops essential speaking, reading, and writing skills, with beginners using the Noorani Qa‘ida and advanced students progressing through the Iqra Arabic Reader series.
