Prior to the Marriage Ceremony: The marrying couple must get a valid State of Texas Marriage License On the day of the Ceremony: The marrying couple should bring the following: The State of Texas Marriage License A valid picture identification issued by any US State (Drivers Licenses of Texas, Utah, or etc.), US Government (Passports) or Foreign Sovereign States (Valid Foreign Passports) Two witnesses with a valid picture identification issued by any US State (Drivers Licenses of Texas,Utah, or etc.), US Government (Passports) or Foreign Sovereign States (Valid Foreign Passports) A payment of $150 Masjid Fees must be paid - check or money order The Sheikh performing the ceremony will: Will issue the marriage certificate from El Farouq Will keep a copy of: * The state marriage license * Valid identification of marrying couple and witnesses * El Farouq marriage certificate * Any additional documentation Please Note: Employees of Masjid El Farouq are not permitted to perform marriage ceremonies outside of the Masjid. Employees and/or committee members may not act as marriage witnesses. Imam will not do the marraige ceremony outside Masjid.
