🕌 Funeral Services & Fatiha Assemblies (پرسە و فاتیحە) "Standing together in times of grief, offering comfort, prayer, and community support." The Birwa Kurdish Community Centre (BKCC) provides a compassionate and supportive environment for families during their most difficult moments. The mosque is fully equipped to offer formal funeral services and host Fatiha Assemblies (کۆڕی فاتیها / پرسە), allowing community members to gather, offer condolences, and make dual prayers for their loved ones. What We Offer: Bespoke Arrangements for Both Genders: We provide dedicated, separate, and dignified spaces within the mosque to hold parallel Fatiha assemblies for both males and females, fully respecting traditional customs and Islamic principles. Spiritual Guidance & Janazah Support: Assistance from our religious leaders to provide spiritual counsel, recite Quranic blessings, and lead prayers for the deceased. Communal Coordination: A peaceful environment with the capacity to receive family members, neighbors, and community visitors who come to pay their respects and stand in solidarity with the grieving family. ⚠️ Important Practical Notice (Disclaimer) Facility Provision Only: BKCC provides the physical mosque premises, spiritual guidance, and logistical space for holding the Fatiha assembly. No Statutory or Mortuary Services: The centre is not a licensed funeral director or medical mortuary facility. We do not provide statutory registry services, legal death certification, or specialized embalming/body transportation services. External Coordination: Grieving families must coordinate directly with registered UK funeral directors and local council authorities for formal burials, cremations, and legal documentation. Our staff will happily signpost families to trusted external providers if required.
